Ethiopia is one of the top biodiversity-rich countries in the world. The country is endowed with greater diversity of plant, animal and microbial genetic resources. However, like any other developing countries, Ethiopia lacks technical expertise and adequate financial resource to explore and use the genetic resources and associated traditional knowledge significantly.
