Childhood is period of life full of joy and energy. However, at this time there are times when children face events that make them feel fear or anxiety. One of the main causes of anxiety in children is when they entering Early Childhood Education (ECE). Anxiety that occurs in children has impact on body as emergence of psychosomatic reactions or symtoms of physical disorders due to psychological problems. In some children, this psychosomatic responses in the form of bed wetting, sleep disturbances, headaches, stomachaches and it can be worse like vomiting to fainting. There are several methods that can be done to reduce anxiety, namely the story telling method. This study aims to determine the effectiveness of story telling in reducing anxiety levels in early childhood. This study is a randomised control trial (RCT) conducted for 1 week on pre-school children in a playgroup consisting of 18 students in RA Qurrota'Ayun Kepanjen Malang Regency East Java by measuring their anxiety. The results of the analysis showed that there was a significant difference in anxiety between the two groups, but the story telling group had a greater effect in reducing children's anxiety levels. The value of the story telling group was 1.60 (1.838) and the p value in both groups was 0.000. The conclusion of this study is that Story Telling is more effective in reducing pre-school children's anxiety when entering Early Childhood Education.

Background: The period of transition from High School to University presents a significant challenge for students, requiring them to adapt to a new learning environment and take on increased responsibilities. Objectives: This study aimed to assess the adaptation of freshmen to College life, associate the adaptation of freshmen to college life with their demographic variables and correlate the Academic/ Personal/Social and Institutional Adaptation of Freshmen to College life. Methods: A quantitative approach using a descriptive cross-sectional design was employed. A total of 201 freshmen were selected from a private University in Ajman, UAE. Data were collected through the Student Adjustment to College Questionnaire (SACQ). Results: The findings indicated that 86% of freshmen exhibited moderate levels of adaptation, while 10% demonstrated higher levels. Additionally, a significant difference was observed between male and female freshmen, with females showing higher levels of adaptation. Furthermore, the findings revealed a significant association between freshmen's gender and demographic factors at a 0.05 level of significance. There was a significant positive correlation between all four components namely Academic Adaptation, Personal Adaptation, Social Adaptation and Institutional Adaptation. These findings shed light on the challenges faced by freshmen during the transition to University life and highlight the influence of demographic variables on their adaptation process.

β-thalassemia is a prevalent genetic disorder characterized by chronic anemia, necessitating regular blood transfusions and resulting in iron overload, notably within the heart. This iron overload can lead to a range of cardiac complications, often culminating in heart failure, which stands as the primary cause of mortality in patients with this disorder. Early detection and timely management of these cardiac complications are paramount for ensuring the best possible outcomes for affected individuals. This article presents and discusses in detail three clinical cases, underscoring the critical importance of early screening and effective management strategies to avert fatal progression in patients afflicted by β-thalassemia.

: Background of the Study: Tuberculosis is a global public health issue despite the discovery of the causal bacterium over 100 years ago and availability of effective medications and vaccines for prevention and cure. Tuberculosis has a global incidence rate of 119 per lakh, with low-income nations bearing the major burden at 197 per lakh. High-income countries have nine per lakh people, while middle-income countries have 85. Eight out of ten tuberculosis patients are economically productive aged 15-49. It kills more adults than any other infectious disease. India has roughly one-third of the global tuberculosis load. Aim of the Study: The goal of this study is to evaluate the efficacy of a planned education program on students' understanding of pulmonary tuberculosis and the DOTS treatment method. Methodology: This study examined how a comprehensive teaching program improved patients' understanding of pulmonary tuberculosis and DOTS therapy in the outpatient department (OPD) of selected hospitals in Bhiwani, Haryana. To attain the purpose, the researcher used pre-experimental study design. The study included 60 patients at the Directly Observed Therapy Short-course (DOTS) clinic in Bhiwani, Haryana. The researchers selected samples using convenience sampling. A structured knowledge questionnaire was used to collect data in this study. A group of tuberculosis patients provided data for ten days. The pre-test was given on May 17, 2021, before formal education began. Ten days later, the post-test was given. Data was processed and analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistics. Results: The mean pre-test knowledge score was 9.45, with a 2.65 standard deviation. In the post-test, the mean score was 19.40 with a standard deviation of 1.86. The computed mean difference was 9.95. The paired 't' test yielded 24.60 with 59 degrees of freedom. A p-value of 0.01 indicated statistical significance.

Background of the study: Physical activity is any skeletal muscle-generated energy expenditure, according to the WHO. Regular exercise improves mental and physical health. To promote health, people of all ages and abilities should be more active and less sedentary. Purpose: The purpose of this research is to quantify the extent to which schoolchildren engage in physical activity during the school day. Methodology: The methodology employed in this study is that of quantitative research, and the research design chosen was a cross-sectional one. The investigation was conducted in a chosen Trichy school. Students in the sixth, seventh, eighth, and ninth grades made up the study population. The overall sample size for the study was sixty people, and its samples were picked using convenience sampling methods. A preplanned questionnaire was used to compile the information. The Physical Activity Questionnaire for Older Children (PAQ-C), by Kent C. Kowalski, is a standardized tool. Interviews were conducted to gather information, and both descriptive and inferential statistics were used to make sense of the results. Results: Most samples (49, or 98.0%) were moderately active. Low physical activity was found in sample 1 (2.0%). The mean weight was 146.99, the SD was 7.75. The average sample height was 40.84, with a standard deviation of 12.12. BMI averaged 18.67, with a standard deviation of 4.25. BMI variation was 18.11 and mean percentage was 29.53. Diet and mother's education were found to be linked with physical activity levels (p < 0.05). Conclusion: This study underlines the importance of physical activity in preventing non-communicable diseases including obesity and hypertension in schoolchildren. Primary prevention methods, such as mandated physical education programs, can reduce non-communicable diseases and their long-term effects on students.

The world is greatly out of balance on issues of health and equal distribution of resources. In the mist of scarce resources corruption has compounded the problem of health care institution as it affects the five dimensions of health system performance; access to care, quality of care, equity in health care services, efficiency of healthcare sector and efficacy of healthcare services. Corruption is a complex, multifaceted and a global issue in health system as no country is exempted, though it is more obvious in the developing world. In the health sectors corruption ranges from smaller- scale acts by doctors and nurses who collects bribes from patient before treatment, falsify data, to larger- scale acts at hospital administrator’s level or ministerial level, when people in power embezzle public funds or redirect resources from those who need it for their own benefit which affects population health. The effect of corruption on health outcome of such population is devastating. Since corruption severally comprise quality of health services, there is need for significant regulatory oversight, transparency and accountability. To attain health for all and implement the fundamental health right, corruption must be eradicated or dwindled to barest minimum for effective implementation of healthcare care services that will enhance population health positively.
